Product Overview
MSI Rockmount Golden Honey 6" x 24" Splitface Quartzite Ledger Panel Wall Tile delivers sunny rustic warmth, subtle quartz sparkle, and dimensional dry-stacked stone texture to interior and exterior architectural walls. Crafted from 100% genuine natural quartzite stone, each 6" x 24" interlocking Z-panel features hand-split stone strips arranged in a dimensional stacked ledger format.
The Golden Honey colorway showcases a rich palette of warm gold, pale cream, honey amber, and soft gray tones infused with natural quartz crystals that glisten under sunlight or spotlighting. Engineered with interlocking Z-cut ends, these panels butt tightly together without grout lines, making it simple to achieve a seamless, hand-laid masonry look across fireplace surrounds, accent walls, and outdoor kitchen islands.

Installation and Handling Guidelines
⚠️ IMPORTANT: NATURAL STONE LEDGER PANEL INSTALLATION PROTOCOL
-
Substrate Structural Load Capacity: Quartzite ledger panels are heavy natural stone (approx. 8–10 lbs per sq. ft.). Ensure wall substrates (concrete, cement backer board, or masonry) are securely fastened to studs and structurally rated to carry heavy vertical stone loads.
-
Large & Heavy Tile (LFT) Mortar Selection: Install using a high-performance, polymer-modified Large & Heavy Tile (LFT) thin-set mortar specifically rated for natural stone (ANSI A118.4 / ANSI A118.15). White or light gray LFT mortar is recommended to blend naturally behind light gold stone.
-
Tight-Joint Installation (No Grout): Interlocking Z-panels are engineered to be "dry-stacked" tight against one another without grout lines. Stagger horizontal panel joints in a running bond pattern to conceal seams.
-
Corner Configuration: Use matching MSI Rockmount Golden Honey 6" x 18" x 6" "L" Corner Panels on 90-degree outside corners to eliminate exposed saw-cut stone edges.
-
Pre-Sealing & Maintenance: Apply a penetrating natural stone sealer after installation to protect against dirt accumulation and moisture absorption. Use a color-enhancing sealer if you prefer a deeper, "wet-look" golden finish.
Care and Maintenance
-
Routine Cleaning: Dust or vacuum textured stone crevices using a soft brush attachment. Clean periodically with warm water and a neutral pH natural stone cleaner.
-
Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use acidic cleaners, vinegar, bleach, or high-pressure power washers at close range, which can damage natural quartzite.
-
Periodic Resealing: Reapply a penetrating stone sealer every 2 to 4 years on exterior installations to preserve stain defense and freeze-thaw durability.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does MSI Golden Honey Stacked Stone require grout?
No. Ledger panel tiles are designed to interlocking-butt tightly together without grout lines, creating a continuous dry-stacked stone appearance.
Can Golden Honey panels be installed around an outdoor grill island?
Yes! Natural quartzite ledger panels are non-combustible and weather-resistant, making them ideal for outdoor fireplaces, barbecue islands, and patio walls when installed over suitable exterior-grade substrates.
How do I clean dust out of the textured splitface surface indoors?
Vacuuming the panel face with a soft brush attachment is the easiest way to keep dust out of the splitface crevices. For deeper cleaning, wipe down with warm water and a neutral pH natural stone cleaner.
