Product Overview
Florim Rêves Jade Glossy 24" x 48" Porcelain Slab Tile (60 cm x 120 cm) is an architectural Italian porcelain slab manufactured by Florim (part of the prestigious Rêves de Rex collection). Inspired by translucent alabaster and rare green onyx minerals, the Jade colorway features an elegant, soothing palette of soft seafoam green, sage, mint, light grey, and subtle warm honey-gold mineral veining.
Factory-finished with a high-reflection Glossy (Polished) glaze, this 24x48 large-format slab (~8 sq. ft. per panel) magnifies light transmission, color depth, and crystalline stone veining. It delivers a serene, green onyx-look field with minimal grout line interruption, making it an exceptional choice for high-end primary bathroom suites, full-height shower feature walls, fireplace surrounds, vanity backdrops, and commercial feature spaces.

-
Luxury Commercial & Hospitality Interiors: Creates a tranquil, sophisticated ambiance behind hotel reception desks, boutique feature walls, and spa wellness spaces.
Design Profile
-
Aesthetic Inspiration: Translucent Precious Minerals, Organic Spa Luxury, Coastal Biophilic Design, Contemporary Modernism.
-
Visual Pairing: Pairs beautifully with brushed brass, gold, or polished nickel plumbing fixtures, light oak or crisp white cabinetry, and soft cream textiles.
-
System Cohesion: Part of the Florim Rêves collection, coordinating with smaller formats (12x24, 24x24, 32x71), companion Matte (Naturale) finishes, and matching mosaic options.
Colors and textures may vary slightly between tile batches due to natural manufacturing variations. For a clear representation, we recommend ordering a sample.

Installation and Handling Guidelines
⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: OVERSIZED POLISHED SLAB PROTOCOL
-
Leveling Clip System Required: Installers must use a mechanical tile leveling clip system along joint lines during setting to pull adjacent slab edges flush and eliminate lippage across 48-inch spans.
-
Thinset Mortar Selection: Set using a high-performance, polymer-modified Large & Heavy Tile (LFT) thinset specified for porcelain slabs (ANSI A118.4 or ANSI A118.15 like MAPEI® Ultraflex LFT White or LATICRETE® Multimax Lite White). Always use white thinset to preserve true translucent jade green color clarity.
-
Mortar Back-Butter Technique: Comb mortar directionally on the substrate AND back-butter each 24x48 panel to guarantee 95%+ solid mortar coverage indoors and 100% coverage in wet shower zones.
-
Protect the Polished Glaze: Use non-marking rubber floats and clean tools during installation. Avoid abrasive sponges or harsh scouring pads that could scratch the polished glossy surface during grout cleanup.
Professional Recommendations
-
Dry Lay & Vein Blending: The Rêves Jade graphic carries fluid onyx veining (V3 rating). Unbox and dry-lay slabs before final setting to balance green, grey, and honey-amber tones across the space.
-
Grout Color Strategy: Pair with a soft mint, pale grey, or white high-performance grout (such as MAPEI® Ultracolor Plus FA in White or Frost) to make tile joints blend seamlessly into the green background.
Care and Maintenance
-
Routine Cleaning: Wipe down using warm water and a neutral pH porcelain cleaner with a microfiber cloth. Avoid oil-based soaps or wax-based cleaners that leave a dull film over glossy glazes.
-
100% Acid & Stain Proof: Impervious vitrified porcelain stoneware (< 0.08% water absorption) protects against cosmetic acids, perfumes, hair dyes, oils, wine, and household cleaning chemicals.
-
Zero Sealing Required: Unlike natural green onyx, jade calcite, or alabaster stone, glazed Italian porcelain is non-porous and requires no topical sealers, waxes, or impregnating treatments over its lifespan.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Florim Rêves Jade Glossy and Matte (Naturale)?
The Glossy version features a mirror-like polished finish that accentuates the depth of the green onyx veins and maximizes light reflection—ideal for feature walls. The Matte version offers a soft, non-reflective finish with certified foot traction for floor installations.
Is Florim Rêves Jade Glossy 24x48 safe for walk-in shower floors?
Polished glossy porcelain can become slippery when wet. While it is an exceptional choice for shower walls, a matte finish or smaller mosaic format is recommended for walk-in shower floors.
Does this green onyx-look porcelain slab require sealers?
No. Florim porcelain stoneware is vitrified and non-porous (< 0.08% absorption), requiring zero sealers or topical waxes over its lifespan.
