2” Ming Green Classico Polished Hexagon Mosaic Tile

Product Overview

For the 2” Ming Green Classico Hexagon, the narrative celebrates "Timeless Botanical Grace." While the Jadeporcelain we just explored is a bold, modern interpretation of green, Ming Green is a classical natural marble—famous for its soft, celadon-like hue and its long history in high-end European and Asian architecture.

The "Celadon Serenity" Collection

Experience the tranquility of a garden in stone. The Ming Green Classico 2” Polished Hexagon Mosaic is a masterclass in organic elegance. Characterized by its soft, mint-green field and delicate crystalline structure, this mosaic brings a refreshing, "breath-of-air" quality to any surface. It is the premier choice for "Coastal Classic," "Vintage Chic," or "Zen-Modern" aesthetics, prioritizing tonal harmony and a luminous, light-filled energy.

Ming Green Classico Series: 2” Polished Hexagon Marble Mosaic (Mesh-Mounted)

The "Jewel of Classical Interiors." Ming Green Classico is the definitive choice for designers who seek a natural green that is soothing rather than overwhelming. Sourced from elite marble deposits, this stone features a sophisticated, uniform celadon base accented by faint, cloud-like veins of white and occasional flecks of emerald.

The 2-inch hexagon format offers a rhythmic, honeycomb geometry that bridges the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern design. Because Ming Green is a "soft" marble with high translucency, the polished finish creates a glass-like depth that captures and scatters light. This is more than a mosaic; it is a timeless surface designed to turn bathrooms, kitchens, and entryways into sanctuaries of calm.

Recommended Applications

Installation & Handling Guidelines

⚠️ CRITICAL: WHITE THIN-SET IS MANDATORY: Ming Green is a translucent marble. Using grey mortar will "muddy" the delicate green color and make the stone look dull. You must use a High-Grab White Thin-set to preserve the stone's natural celadon vibrancy.

Professional Recommendations:

• Grout Selection: Use a non-sanded grout in "Bright White" or "Light Grey." A white grout will make the mint color pop with a crisp, "polka-dot" effect, while a light grey will blend the joints for a softer, more organic look.

• Sealing Strategy: As a natural marble, Ming Green is susceptible to etching from acidic soaps and cleaners. Apply a High-Quality Solvent-Based Sealer before and after grouting to lock out moisture and maintain the polished luster.

• Back-Buttering: For a perfectly level floor, have the installer "back-butter" the mesh sheets to ensure 100% mortar coverage and prevent air pockets.

Care & Maintenance

Use a cleaner appropriate to the listed material and follow the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions. Test any cleaner or sealer on a spare piece first.

Design Profile

• Iconic Celadon Palette: A rare, naturally occurring soft green that mimics the appearance of precious jade and ancient celadon pottery.

• Natural Slip-Resistance: The high density of circular grout lines in the 2-inch hexagon pattern provides excellent "grip," making it ideal for safe, high-fashion shower floors.

• Luminous Polished Finish: A high-definition surface that amplifies the stone's crystalline structure and creates a bright, "water-like" reflection.

• Architectural Versatility: Mounted on a flexible 12x12 mesh, these tiles easily navigate shower benches, niche perimeters, and curved feature walls.

• Consistent "Classico" Sorting: Meticulously color-sorted to ensure a harmonious blend of green tones, avoiding the heavy grey or brown patches found in lower-grade Ming Green.

• The "Coastal Spa" Floor: Pair this mosaic on the shower floor with Thassos White 12x24 wall tiles. The crisp white walls and soft green floor create a refreshing, beach-inspired luxury aesthetic.

• The "Jewel-Box" Powder Room: Use this mosaic for the entire floor of a small powder room. Pair with Polished Nickel or Silver fixtures—the cool tones of the metal harmonize perfectly with the mint-green marble.

• Modern Brass Harmony: For a more "Regency" look, pair with Unlacquered Brass hardware. The gold tones in the metal act as a warm "complementary" color to the green, making the space feel incredibly curated and high-end.
