FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does this paver require sealing? No. Unlike natural bluestone, porcelain is non-porous. It does not require sealing to protect against water, oils, or UV fading.

Can I drive a car on these pavers? If installed over a properly prepared 4" concrete slab with thinset, they can handle residential vehicular traffic. However, for sand or gravel "dry-lay" installations, they are intended for pedestrian use only.

Are they slippery when wet? Arterra® pavers are specifically designed for outdoor use and feature a high-traction surface. They are significantly safer for pool surrounds than polished stone or standard indoor tile.

How do I clean them? Most debris can be simply hosed off. For deeper cleans, you can use a pressure washer (up to 3000 PSI) or a mild detergent. They are resistant to acids, so bird droppings or tree sap won't etch the surface.

INSTALLATION & CARE TIPS

• Dry-Lay Installation: For a quick DIY project, these can be set directly on a level bed of sand or fine gravel. Use a 1/8" to 3/16" spacer to ensure straight lines.

• Edge Restraints: When laying over sand or gravel, use edge restraints to prevent the pavers from shifting over time.

• Polymeric Sand: If grouting, use a polymeric sand specifically designed for porcelain pavers to ensure the joints remain flexible and weed-free.
