Product Overview
24" x 24" Arabescato Polished Deluxe Italian Marble Tile (3/8" Thick) represents the pinnacle of classic European elegance, high-contrast veining, and grand-scale natural stone luxury. Mined in the historic quarries of Tuscany, Italy, genuine Arabescato marble is world-renowned for its signature "brecciated" visual structure—featuring dramatic, dusty charcoal and deep graphite vein rings framing brilliant white marble islands.
The generous 24" x 24" square format significantly reduces grout lines, creating an expansive, continuous stone canvas across open-concept living spaces, primary bath suites, and luxury commercial interiors. Finished to a high-gloss polished sheen, this tile refracts natural light, highlighting the depth and movement of its natural Tuscan veining.

Installation and Handling Guidelines
⚠️ IMPORTANT: NATURAL STONE PRE-SEALING & MORTAR PROTOCOL
-
Pre-Sealing Essential: Arabescato marble is a porous natural stone. Apply a high-quality penetrating natural stone sealer to the tile faces prior to grouting to guard against grout haze and pigment absorption.
-
Pure White LFT Thin-Set Mortar Required: Always set light-colored natural marble using a polymer-modified pure white Large & Heavy Tile (LFT) thin-set mortar (ANSI A118.4 / ANSI A118.11). Standard gray thinset will shadow through translucent white marble regions and alter its background tone.
-
Subfloor Flatness & Back-Butter Technique: 24" x 24" tiles require a level subfloor (variation not to exceed 1/8" in 10 feet). Always back-butter the back of each tile with thinset to achieve 95%+ coverage, and use a mechanical tile leveling system to prevent edge lippage.
-
Dry Laying & Color Blending: Brecciated marble exhibits dramatic veining shifts across boxes. Open multiple boxes and dry-lay tiles before setting to balance the bold charcoal rings and white field evenly.
Care and Maintenance
-
Routine Cleaning: Clean regularly using warm water and a neutral pH natural stone cleaner. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, bleach, lemon juice, or abrasive scrubbers, which will etch polished marble surfaces.
-
Periodic Resealing: Reapply a quality penetrating stone sealer every 1 to 2 years (or more frequently in heavy shower wet areas) to maintain water repellency and stain defense.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does 24" x 24" Arabescato Polished Deluxe marble tile require sealing?
Yes. As genuine Italian marble, it is porous and must be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer prior to grouting and maintained periodically over time.
How does Arabescato differ from standard Carrara or Calacatta marble?
While Carrara features soft linear gray feathering and Calacatta has bold gold/gray veining, Arabescato is defined by its "brecciated" pattern—dark charcoal and slate vein rings that form oval-like "islands" across a brilliant white background.
Why is white thinset mortar required for installation?
Arabescato marble has slight natural translucency in its white field. Standard gray thinset mortar will show through the stone, causing dark discoloration or uneven shading across the light white background.
