Installation and Handling Guidelines

IMPORTANT: TRANSLUCENT AND MOISTURE-SENSITIVE NATURAL STONE

Honey Onyx may darken, shadow, curl, or discolor when installed with unsuitable setting materials. Test the complete mortar, grout, sealer, and cleaning system on spare material before installation.

• Use White Setting Material: Never use gray mortar. Select a premium bright-white rapid-setting natural-stone mortar or epoxy adhesive specifically approved for translucent, moisture-sensitive onyx.

• Prepare a Uniform Setting Bed: Conventional trowel lines may remain visible through translucent pieces. Flatten the mortar ridges into a smooth, consistent bed before setting each sheet.

• Dry-Lay and Blend: Arrange sheets before installation to distribute lighter cream pieces, richly colored amber sections, mineral banding, and crystalline areas throughout the surface.

• Inspect Sheet Spacing: Adjust individual pieces along sheet edges to maintain consistent joints and prevent visible sheet outlines.
