Installation and Handling Guidelines

⚠️ IMPORTANT: NATURAL STONE PRE-SEALING & MORTAR PROTOCOL

• Pre-Sealing Essential: Bianco Carrara is a natural porous marble. Apply a high-quality penetrating natural stone sealer to the mosaic sheets prior to grouting to guard against grout haze and pigment absorption.
  
  
• Pure White Thin-Set Mortar Required: Always set Carrara marble mosaic using a polymer-modified pure white thin-set mortar (ANSI A118.4). Gray thinset will shadow through translucent white marble and permanently alter its color.
  
  
• Non-Sanded Grout Selection: Maintain a 1/16" to 1/8" grout joint. Use a non-sanded grout or high-performance flexible grout formulated for delicate natural stone to prevent scratching the marble surface during grouting.
  
  
• Dry Laying & Color Blending: Natural stone exhibits natural color and veining shifts across production lots. Open multiple boxes and dry-lay sheets before setting to blend veining movement evenly.
  
  

Care and Maintenance

• Routine Cleaning: Clean regularly using warm water and a neutral pH natural stone cleaner. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, bleach, lemon juice, or abrasive scrubbers, which will etch marble surfaces.
  
  
• Periodic Resealing: Reapply a quality penetrating stone sealer every 1 to 2 years (or more frequently in heavy shower wet areas) to maintain water repellency and stain defense.
