• Dry-Lay the Tile: Review the tiles under the project’s permanent lighting and blend lighter, darker, and more heavily patterned pieces throughout the installation.

• Prepare a Flat Substrate: Large-format tile requires a clean, stable, and sufficiently flat surface. Correct substrate irregularities before installation.

• Mortar Selection: Use a polymer-modified Large and Heavy Tile mortar meeting ANSI A118.4 or A118.15 and approved for porcelain.

• Mortar Coverage: Directionally trowel the mortar and back-butter tiles as necessary. Obtain at least 80% coverage in dry interior areas and 95% in wet installations.
