Installation & Handling Guidelines

⚠️ IMPORTANT: PROFESSIONAL LARGE-FORMAT INSTALLATION

Each tile covers approximately 15.5 square feet and weighs about 65 pounds. Specialized handling frames, suction cups, cutting equipment, and multiple trained installers are required. This product is not recommended for ordinary DIY installation.

• Confirm the Item Number: Verify that every carton identifies Rêve Noisette 80 × 180 Matte, item 770419. Do not mix it with the glossy version.

• Delivery Inspection: Inspect crates and cartons before accepting delivery. Photograph visible damage and examine each panel before installation.

• Vertical Storage: Store tiles upright on an appropriate padded A-frame in a dry, protected area. Do not leave panels unsupported or allow them to bow.

• Safe Handling: Use a rigid large-format carrying frame with suitable vacuum suction cups. Never lift or transport a panel flat without full support.

• Installer Requirements: At least two properly equipped installers are generally required, with additional assistance appropriate for the jobsite and installation orientation.

• Substrate Flatness: For tile with an edge longer than 15", the substrate should generally vary no more than 1/8" in 10 feet and 1/16" in 2 feet. Correct irregularities before setting.

• Mortar Selection: Use a premium polymer-modified Large and Heavy Tile mortar meeting ANSI A118.4 or preferably A118.15 and approved for large-format porcelain.

• Mortar Application: Directionally trowel both the substrate and tile back using compatible parallel ridges. Collapse the ridges completely when setting the panel.

• Mortar Coverage: Obtain at least 80% coverage in dry interiors and 95% in wet or exterior installations, with complete support along edges and corners.
