Product Overview

MSI Mayra White 24" x 24" x 3cm Tumbled Limestone Paver brings the soft warmth and timeless character of genuine Turkish limestone to patios, courtyards, walkways, pool surrounds, and outdoor living areas. Its warm-white palette blends creamy ivory, pale beige, and subtle natural mineral movement, creating a bright yet inviting foundation for traditional and contemporary landscapes.

The generous 24" square format creates a spacious architectural grid with fewer joints than smaller pavers. A tumbled surface and softly weathered edges provide an established, Old-World appearance while preserving the unique variation of natural stone.

At 3 cm thick, Mayra White is designed as an exterior paver rather than a conventional thin tile. It can be dry-laid over a properly engineered aggregate base or wet-set over a suitable concrete substrate, depending on project conditions and the approved installation system.

Because Mayra White is natural limestone, differences in color, mineral markings, fossils, texture, edges, and dimensions are expected. These characteristics contribute to the individuality of the finished installation.

Recommended Applications

  • Outdoor Patios: Creates a bright natural-stone foundation for dining, seating, and entertainment areas.

  • Pool Surrounds: The warm-white limestone complements blue water and coordinating Mayra White pool coping.

  • Courtyards and Terraces: The large square format supports clean grid layouts and expansive architectural designs.

  • Garden Walkways: Provides a natural transition between landscaped areas and outdoor structures.

  • Outdoor Kitchens: Coordinates with stone veneer, stucco, stainless-steel appliances, and natural wood.

  • Residential Entryways: Creates an elegant approach when installed over a properly prepared supporting base.

  • Appropriate Commercial Hardscapes: May be considered for pedestrian hospitality and commercial applications subject to engineering and manufacturer approval.

A project-specific wet-area evaluation is required for pool decks and other frequently wet walking surfaces because MSI does not publish a DCOF value for this natural-stone paver.

Installation & Handling Guidelines

⚠️ IMPORTANT: NATURAL LIMESTONE EXTERIOR INSTALLATION

Limestone is porous and naturally variable. Drainage, substrate preparation, joint design, sealing, and freeze-thaw exposure must be evaluated for the specific project.

  • Inspect Before Installation: Examine all material while dry and under the project’s lighting. Do not install pieces with unacceptable damage or characteristics.

  • Blend Multiple Crates: Draw pavers from several crates or pallets to distribute lighter, darker, quieter, and more heavily marked pieces throughout the surface.

  • Dry-Lay the Material: Arrange the pavers before installation to balance their natural color and mineral variation.

  • Base Preparation: Dry-laid installations require a properly graded and compacted aggregate base designed for the soil, drainage, climate, and anticipated loads.

  • Wet-Set Installation: When installing over concrete, use a white mortar system specifically approved for exterior natural limestone. Gray mortar may affect the appearance of light-colored stone.

  • Mortar Coverage: Exterior wet-set installations require substantially complete mortar coverage with fully supported edges and corners.

  • Drainage: Slope the finished surface away from structures and prevent water from collecting beneath or on top of the pavers.

  • Joint Width: Select the joint width after inspecting the actual size and edge variation. Tumbled natural stone generally requires wider joints than rectified porcelain.

  • Movement Joints: Include perimeter and field movement accommodation following TCNA EJ171 and applicable construction requirements.

  • Pre-Sealing: Consider applying a penetrating natural-stone sealer before grouting or filling the joints. Test the product on spare material first.

  • Freeze-Thaw Conditions: Exterior suitability depends on climate, drainage, stone absorption, base construction, and installation method. Obtain local professional approval in freeze-thaw regions.

  • Cutting Safety: Wet-cut with a diamond blade designed for natural stone. Do not dry-cut or grind because limestone fabrication can release respirable crystalline-silica dust.

  • Order Allowance: Add approximately 10–15% for cuts, breakage, natural variation, installation waste, and future repairs.

Care & Maintenance

  • Clean with water and a neutral-pH cleaner formulated for natural limestone.

  • Avoid vinegar, muriatic acid, acidic masonry cleaners, and abrasive chemicals that could etch or discolor the stone.

  • Remove leaves, soil, food, oil, pool chemicals, and strongly pigmented spills promptly.

  • Use a soft-bristle brush for textured areas and rinse away all cleaning residue.

  • Avoid aggressive close-range pressure washing that could damage the limestone, joints, or setting bed.

  • Apply a breathable penetrating natural-stone sealer according to the sealer manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Test enhancing sealers carefully because they may deepen or alter the limestone’s color.

  • Avoid deicing salts unless the stone, installation system, and sealer manufacturers specifically approve their use.

Design Profile

  • Aesthetic Inspiration: Mediterranean villa, coastal resort, organic modern, European courtyard, and warm contemporary.

  • Color Character: Warm white, creamy ivory, pale beige, and subtle natural mineral movement.

  • Surface Character: Tumbled, gently textured, and naturally weathered.

  • Format Advantage: The 24" square scale produces a clean, open layout with fewer visible joints.

  • Complementary Materials: Mayra White coping, white stucco, limestone veneer, natural oak, teak, and pale concrete.

  • Complementary Metals: Brushed stainless steel, aged bronze, matte black, and champagne bronze.

  • Suggested Joint Colors: Warm ivory, sand, light beige, or a compatible natural-stone jointing material.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Mayra White marble or limestone?

Mayra White is genuine natural limestone from Turkey. It should not be categorized as marble, porcelain, or travertine.

What is the correct manufacturer SKU?

The correct MSI item number is LPAVLMAYWHI2424T.

How much area does one paver cover?

A nominal 24" × 24" paver covers approximately four square feet before accounting for joints, cuts, and installation waste.

Does Mayra White require sealing?

Sealing is recommended, especially around pools, outdoor kitchens, dining areas, and locations exposed to moisture, food, oil, or landscaping residue.

Can it be installed around a swimming pool?

Yes, Mayra White is suitable for pool surrounds. Because no published DCOF value is available, wet-area traction should be evaluated for the specific installation.

Is the stone guaranteed to remain cool in direct sunlight?

No natural stone should be guaranteed to remain cool. Surface temperature depends on sunlight, weather, installation, surrounding materials, and local conditions.

Can it be installed in freeze-thaw climates?

Suitability depends on drainage, stone absorption, supporting-base construction, installation materials, and the local climate. Professional approval is recommended.

Will every paver have the same color and texture?

No. Differences in color, fossils, mineral markings, texture, edges, and surface movement are expected in genuine natural limestone.

Shade Variation

Colors and textures may vary slightly between tile batches due to natural manufacturing variations. For a clear representation, we recommend ordering a sample. Learn more.
