Recommended Applications
-

-

-
Fireplace Surrounds & Decorative Niches: Serves as a structured, elegant backdrop for living room fireplaces, shower niches, and decorative wall cutouts.
Installation and Handling Guidelines
⚠️ IMPORTANT: NATURAL STONE PRE-SEALING & MORTAR PROTOCOL
-
Pre-Sealing Essential: Angora natural stone is porous. Apply a high-quality penetrating natural stone sealer to mosaic sheets prior to grouting to guard against grout haze and pigment absorption.
-
Pure White Thin-Set Mortar Required: Always set light natural stone using a polymer-modified pure white thin-set mortar (ANSI A118.4). Gray or dark mortars can shadow through translucent stone and permanently alter its color.
-
Dry Laying & Color Blending: Natural stone exhibits gentle color variations across batches. Inspect and dry-lay sheets from multiple boxes before setting to achieve an even distribution of shade.
-
Wet-Area Waterproofing: Shower applications require a properly constructed, code-compliant waterproofing system beneath the tile. Stone, mortar, grout, and sealers do not replace the underlying waterproof membrane.
Care and Maintenance
-
Routine Cleaning: Clean regularly with warm water and a pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid vinegar, bleach, lemon-based, or abrasive household cleaners, which will etch polished natural stone.
-
Periodic Resealing: Reapply a quality penetrating stone sealer periodically based on surface exposure and water usage to maintain stain and moisture resistance.
Design Profile
-
Aesthetic Inspiration: Warm Modernism, Transitional Luxury, Soft Minimalist, Modern Organic.
-
Visual Advantage: The geometric arrangement provides clean architectural lines while warm cream and beige tones keep the room soft and inviting.
-
Complementary Finishes: Warm white oak millwork, brushed brass or champagne bronze hardware, polished chrome fixtures, and creamy quartz or light marble countertops.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does MSI Angora Geometric tile require sealing?
Yes. Angora stone is a natural porous material. Applying a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and periodically during routine maintenance protects against staining and liquid absorption.
Can this polished stone mosaic be used on shower floors?
It is primarily recommended for wall applications and backsplashes. For shower floor use, evaluate local slip resistance requirements, as polished stone can become slick underfoot when wet.
Why is white thinset mortar required for setting this mosaic?
Light-colored natural stone can absorb dark pigments from gray thinset mortar, causing dark shadows along tile edges or bleeding through the face of the stone. Pure white mortar preserves the clean, warm cream appearance.

J
Julianne Roesly I ordered this sample weeks ago. I still to this day have not received it. It was the first sample from multiple vendors I ordered to consider for my bathroom project. I paid for this and since I never received it, I had to choose something else for this project. I would very much appreciate a refund from your company! Otherwise, I would not recommend ordering from Hey Tiles.

Ryan Tiles are beautiful. Communication from the seller was less than stellar. They told us they shipped tiles to be delivered 4 days later. They didn’t even have the tiles in stock to ship for another week. We received the tile 2 weeks after expected. They need to work on their transparency with out of stock products.
