Installation Guidelines

Important: Use White Setting Material

Angora Rhombus is a light-colored natural marble. Install it with a premium white mortar approved for natural-stone mosaics. Gray mortar may produce discoloration or visible shadowing through the stone.

• Inspect every sheet before installation. Installation constitutes acceptance of color, finish, size, and natural variation.

• Dry-lay sheets from several cartons to balance cream, beige, gray, and more strongly veined pieces.

• Confirm the direction of the rhombus pattern before applying mortar.

• Install over a flat, clean, dry, and structurally sound substrate.

• Use a small-notched trowel appropriate for the mosaic thickness.

• Flatten mortar ridges before placing the sheets to create uniform support and prevent mortar lines from affecting the finished appearance.

• Press sheets evenly into the mortar using a grout float or padded beating block.

• Adjust individual stones along sheet edges to prevent visible seams between adjacent sheets.

• Obtain at least 80% mortar coverage in dry interior areas and 95% coverage in wet installations.

• Install shower applications over a complete waterproofing system. Sealing the marble does not waterproof the wall assembly.

• Apply a penetrating natural-stone sealer before grouting to reduce pigment absorption and simplify cleanup.

• Use unsanded grout or fine-aggregate grout specifically approved for polished marble.

• Test the mortar, grout, and sealer on a spare sheet before completing the installation.

• Wet-cut using a continuous-rim diamond blade designed for marble. Do not dry-cut because marble fabrication releases hazardous crystalline-silica dust.

• Include perimeter and field movement accommodation according to TCNA EJ171 and applicable construction requirements.

• Order approximately 10–15% additional material for cuts, pattern alignment, natural-stone selection, breakage, and future repairs.

Natural-Stone Variation

Angora Rhombus is manufactured from genuine marble. Differences in cream coloration, beige and gray veining, mineral markings, crystal structure, and polish are expected and contribute to the product’s natural character.

Open several cartons and blend sheets before installation. Avoid installing one carton at a time, which may concentrate lighter or darker stone in individual sections.

Care and Maintenance

• Clean with warm water and a neutral-pH cleaner formulated for natural marble.

• Avoid vinegar, lemon, acidic bathroom cleaners, bleach, and abrasive powders.

• Wipe spills promptly, especially oils, cosmetics, wine, citrus, and strongly pigmented liquids.

• Use microfiber cloths, soft sponges, or non-abrasive brushes.

• Avoid abrasive pads that may scratch or dull the polished finish.

• Apply a penetrating natural-stone sealer before grouting and reseal periodically according to use and the sealer manufacturer’s instructions.
