Inspect the product and approve the layout before installation. Have a qualified installer confirm the substrate, preparation, setting materials, joint spacing and curing requirements for the product and location.
- Use setting materials approved for the porcelain product, tile size and substrate. Follow the manufacturer’s layout, joint and coverage requirements.
- For large-format tile, have your installer confirm substrate flatness and the setting technique needed for proper support.
- Test grout and any cleaning or sealing product on spare tile, particularly with polished or textured finishes.
- Remove loose dirt, clean with a compatible non-abrasive cleaner and rinse away residue. Protect polished finishes from grit.

Does porcelain need sealing?
Sealing is finish-specific. Some polished porcelain products need additional protection, and grout may have separate requirements. Follow the tile and grout manufacturers’ guidance.
Does a marble-look or stone-look finish need natural stone care?
If the product material is porcelain, follow its porcelain care instructions. The printed appearance does not change the tile’s underlying material.
Can I use this product on floors, in showers, in pools or outdoors?
