Installation and Handling Guidelines

IMPORTANT: NATURAL MARBLE INSTALLATION

Palisandro is a light-colored natural marble. Use white setting materials, seal the stone, and test all mortar and grout products before beginning the installation.

• Dry-Lay the Sheets: Open several cartons and arrange the mosaic before installation. Blend lighter, darker, and more heavily veined sheets throughout the surface.

• Use White Mortar: Install with a premium white polymer-modified mortar meeting ANSI A118.4 or A118.15 and approved for natural marble mosaics. Gray mortar may discolor or shadow through light stone.

• Prepare a Flat Substrate: The installation surface must be clean, stable, properly cured, and sufficiently flat. Mosaic sheets can reveal substrate irregularities.

• Flatten Mortar Ridges: Use a notch size appropriate for the mosaic thickness, then flatten the ridges before setting the sheets to prevent mortar from rising excessively through the joints.
