The elongated 3" x 12" format provides a contemporary interpretation of traditional subway tile. MSI classifies Renzo Sky as having high variation. Differences in blue intensity, tone, surface movement, and edge character are intentional and create its handcrafted appearance.

• Dry-Lay and Blend: Open several cartons before installation and distribute lighter, darker, and more visibly textured tiles throughout the wall.

• Sample Approval: Evaluate a physical sample under the project’s actual lighting. Screen images may not accurately represent the complete color range.

• Approved Substrate: Install over a clean, flat, rigid, and properly prepared wall substrate. Wet areas require an approved cementitious backer or equivalent tile substrate.

• Wet-Area Waterproofing: Shower and tub-surround installations require a complete waterproofing system. Ceramic tile and grout do not waterproof the underlying wall assembly.

• Setting Material: Use a polymer-modified thin-set mortar approved for glazed ceramic wall tile. Use white mortar when maintaining the lightest possible appearance is important.

• Mastic Limitation: Premixed organic adhesive may be considered only where its manufacturer specifically approves the substrate and dry interior application. Use cement-based thin-set in showers and other continuously wet locations.

• Grout Joint: A joint of approximately 1/8" accommodates the tile’s intentionally irregular edges and high shade variation. Do not butt tiles tightly together.

• Grout Selection: Use unsanded grout or a fine-aggregate grout approved for glossy ceramic. Test darker grout colors first because pigment can collect along textured edges.
