Why is this called "Thassos Green"? While the green stone is technically Ming Green, it is frequently paired with Thassos White or sold alongside it because they share the same dense, crystalline "sugar" structure. This results in a tile that looks more "luminous" than standard green marbles.

What grout color should I use? To keep the look airy and light, a "Bright White" or "Avalanche" grout is best. If you want to lean into the vintage "penny" look, a very light gray like "Frost" will subtly define each individual circle.

Is it hard to keep the grout clean on a penny floor? Because there is more grout than usual, we highly recommend using a High-Performance Grout (like an epoxy or a pre-mixed urethane) which is stain-resistant. Sealing the entire floor once a year will also keep it looking brand new.

INSTALLATION & CARE TIPS

• White Thinset is a Must: Green and white marbles can be slightly translucent. Using gray thinset will darken the "minty" color and make the white pieces look muddy.

• Stagger the Sheets: When laying the 12x12 sheets, be sure to "offset" them slightly and nestle the circles together to avoid seeing "square" lines in your finished floor.

• Sealing: Apply a penetrating sealer before grouting to prevent the grout from staining the marble, and again afterthe grout has cured.

• pH-Neutral Cleaning: Only use cleaners specifically labeled for natural stone. Avoid vinegar or "tub and tile" sprays, which can etch the marble.
