Can this be backlit? Yes! Because Honey Onyx is translucent, it is one of the few stones that can be backlit with LED panels. While more common with large slabs, backlighting this mosaic can create a stunning, glowing "honeycomb" effect on a feature wall or bar front.

Is it safe for shower floors? Yes. The 5/8" size creates a very high density of grout lines. This provides excellent natural traction (grip), making it one of the most slip-resistant options for wet areas despite its polished finish.

• Sealing is Non-Negotiable: Onyx is more porous and softer than granite. You must seal it with a high-quality impregnating sealer before grouting (to prevent grout stain) and after the project is complete.

• Maintenance: Onyx is sensitive to acids. Never use vinegar, lemon-based cleaners, or harsh chemicals. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone soap and a soft cloth.
